Philippines has 45.5 million voters

Comelec logo The number of voters in the Philippines has swelled to 45,559,559, or over a million more than those registered in 2004, the Commission on Elections revealed.

Just what does this mean to citizens of a country whose minds are plagued by thoughts of cheating in every polls? Will it really have a bearing on the sentiments of a people tired of the same thing happening every elections?

For a young’n like me, it just means there are more than a million voters whose ballots will be bought by overzealous politicians wanting nothing to recoup their investments in a very expensive campaign.
