Ouch! I hate (seeing) blood!

Yes, I hate seeing blood, especially when it’s my blood. Just completed the required full medical examination for the company, and all I can say is “ouch.” It’s not because the needle hurts as bad as getting a kneecap dislocated, the “ouch” remark was for seeing blood oozing out of my skin into the syringe the medtech just plunged into my swollen vein.

Regardless of the imagined pain, everything—from blood extraction to x-ray—went well. The doctor also gave me a clean bill of health, declaring me fit to work. So, it’s off to work I go. Eileen Mangubat, publisher of the Inquirer Publications Inc. and Cebu Daily News, just passed by my workstation and handed me the story schedule for the pages I’ll work on—pages 2, 4, and 5. Egad! Time to work.
